Wildwood Conservation Area Off Season Information (Dec 1 to March 31)

  • There are NO washroom facilities during the off season

  • Please park vehicles in designated areas only

  • Do not park along the Conservation Area roadway

  • Pets must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after

  • Our trails are open from dawn to dusk and are groomed as staff time permits

  • Trail Etiquette: take only pictures, leave only footprints, use marked trails only

  • We do not rent skis or snowshoes

  • We do not monitor the depth of the ice

  • Snowmobiles, ATV's or any other off road vehicles are prohibited in the campground, day use area, trails, on the ice or any other Conservation Area lands.

  • If there is an emergency, call 911

The UTRCA also reminds everyone that waterways pose a serious safety hazard. River banks and shorelines are slippery, water temperatures are very cold, and any ice is unstable and thin. We encourage the public to exercise extreme caution around ditches, streams, and rivers, and stay off of frozen ponds and flood control reservoirs. Parents are encouraged to keep their children and pets away from all waterways.

All forms of smoking are prohibited in all public spaces within Wildwood Conservation Area. Smoking is only permitted on a registered campsite or in a designated area. Smoke free overnight sites have been designated for those who wish to camp without having anyone smoking on adjacent sites.

Please check the Visitors Guide maps for the designated areas and smoke free campsites. Staff continue to evaluate other smoke free initiatives.
